The IMPACT ARTS + FILM FUND (IAFF) was created as a platform for artists and filmmakers to engage in the political and policy arena. IAFF is based in Washington, D.C., and was co-founded by Jody Arlington, Jamie Shor and Kimball Stroud, three veterans of the political and entertainment arenas. IAFF hosts screenings, panel discussions, promotional events, and book launches to educate and enlighten its audiences and creates a climate for meaningful social impact. IAFF launched at the 2008 Democratic & Republican National Conventions with the Impact Film Festival: "Where Film Crosses the Aisle."
The 2016 Impact Film Festival is presented in partnership with:
- Mayors Against Discrimination
- Artists and Athletes
- Picture Motion
- Patriotic Millionaires
- Woman’s National Democratic Club
The media partner is the Independent Journal Review. IAFF's fiscal sponsor is New Venture Fund, a 501(c) 3 public charity.
